The Rebuilding with Love campaign is dedicated to transforming the DSL Community Center into a beacon of hope for Philadelphia.

As of 2023, DSL has served 4,110 individuals throughout the Philadelphia area,
95% of whom are below the poverty level.
We're excited to announce the success of our Soup for Souls Mobile Program! Throughout February 2024, we had the privilege of serving 96 individuals across North & Northeast Philly, bringing nourishment and warmth to those in need.
Our menu isn't just about providing sustenance—it's about spreading love through hearty chicken soup, wholesome veggie soup, delightful peanut butter sandwiches, refreshing drinks, and more.
Soup for Souls
Soup for Souls is a mobile food distribution program in Philadelphia, ensuring residents have access to vital nutritional support. Collaborating with partners, they offer free supplements and nutritional assistance, aiming to enhance well-being by addressing fundamental nutritional needs in communities.
Life-Long Educational Advancement for Children
L.L.E.A.C is an educational program providing personalized mentor support to children in challenged communities. Emphasizing holistic development, it fosters a nurturing environment, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and empowerment. The program aims to bridge educational gaps, inspire lifelong learning, and cultivate a brighter future for both young individuals and their communities.
Amelia’s Gill MISSIONARY
The Amelia’s Gill Missionary is a compassionate program that uplifts sick individuals through thoughtful card distributions, delivering messages of hope. Amelia’s Gill Missionary also provide essential nutritional support, embodying a holistic approach to healthcare and emotional well-being, aiming to brighten days during difficult times.
Previously recognized as The Gill Hospitality Missionary, this dedication honors the memory of Amelia “Cookie” Elizabeth Lewis.
